Yay! Now I have a choice between all these pretty backgrounds! I hope everyone will follow and bookmark my new page. Wordpress was soooo limited on backgrounds and it drove me nutty! Thanks for reading!

September...see, I'm getting there
Either not a lot happened in September or it went by so fast that I didn’t have time to take pictures! I just found a couple to post.

Sleeping with Daddy

Being a cutie!

Let’s see if I can remember…I know we went to the first UT game of the season with great seats, that was fun. So far that is the only game we have been to. I’ve been trying to get caught up on my scrapbooks and as of last night I think I am finally finished with last year! Woo hoo, way to go Carrie! Still have to see if all the pages will fit in my book though, that could be tough.
We have really been getting involved in church. We hadn’t been attending regularly, well at all really until a few months ago and now we go every Sunday, have joined a Sunday school class and a bible study group, and plan to join the church very soon. Before mom passed, she started going to Salem and we visited there with her many times. Now looking back, I really feel it was no accident that she chose that church and took us along with her. We really feel comfortable and at home there.
Well I guess that’s all for the month of September, stay tuned, there will be a lot going on in October. I think it’s the busiest month of the year. HAPPY FALL!

One of....a few
I’m embarrassed, it’s been waaaay too long since I posted anything!! Yikes! I think what I’ll do is group everything into either month or event, instead of one big post. So heeeere we go!
AUGUST….ha!
We’ll start off with a surprise B-day party for Stephanie, which was actually on July 30. I got a few pictures from that, but not any of the b-day girl, she was way too busy talking to everyone. Here is Rylan and ‘Nana Jane’

Here is Marla cheesin’

And a couple of me and Ry

One day I decided to leave my camera at daycare so the teachers could take some pictures of Rylan and his friends. Good idea I think, may do it again soon.

Isn't she the cutest?

Partners in crime...Rylan's best buddies

Look at those teeth...ouch!

About mid August I had a chance to go see David Cook at the Tennessee Theatre. First we went to eat at Downtown Brewery….

Then on to the concert. The Tennessee Theatre is an awesome place for a concert. It’s a little more intimate and sounded great. I thought he was better live than his CD! The pictures aren’t great, I could only do so much!

I have some video but some of it is sideways... :(
And I’ll close with some of the many random shots of Ry
Kissy face, never seen before or have again

“Ahh, basketball….oh how I love you…”

Messy eater

Putting gold fishies in his eye…

…and laughing about it

Oops, don’t tell Daddy!

Summer summer summer time...
Wow! I can’t believe it’s been 2 months since I’ve posted anything. Time just flies! Well in that two months a few things have happened. We’ll start with vacation. We took a week and went with our adopted family to Holden Beach, SC. It was so nice to get away from here for a whole week! Rylan did better this year than he did last year. He enjoyed playing in the sand from the start…

…but it took him a few days to get in the ocean.

When he did get in, it wasn’t passed his knees. And once he got used to the pool, he just kept jumping in.

It was so cute watching him running around so free!

We had a great time and can't wait to go again next year!

Thanks everyone for making a great vacation!
Two of my good friends both bought their first house so a BIG CONGRATS to both of you. A new step in this crazy thing called life. Speaking of, I know this may seem crazy but its like God’s up there playing Sims with us.. You know, going thru life, getting jobs, having families….just a thought. Just brings up that famous question, ‘what is our purpose here?’
We just got back from a beautiful wedding in Johnson City. As you may remember Julia and Ben from my photography blog a few months back, they got married on Saturday. I also did some bridal portraits for her that I’m hoping to post soon, so check that blog as well!

It was such a joy to be a part of such a happy day. It brought back so many memories, mostly good memories but also a few that left me in tears. I watched Julia’s mom a lot and it just reminded me of my mom on my special day. How much time and money and patience she put into my wedding to make it perfect for me. Looking back, that day was a perfect example of how much love a mother had for her only daughter. Of course I thanked her for everything she did but looking back on it, I could never thank her enough. Not just for the decorations and the wedding itself but for the overwhelming love that was shown and the happy tears she cried that day. So much was taken for granted and that’s one bad memory I have.
So last week was crazy with the celebrity deaths, not that it rumbled my world or anything but still, it was crazy! Between deaths, marriages and having babies....people are busy! I know 4 people that got married this past Saturday and nine, yes NINE people who are pregnant right now. Busy, busy people!
Well that's my summer update so far, happy days!
